ABOUT
FOOD LOVERS BY NATURE, KELSEY & MARCUS MET WORKING AT A CHARMING FRENCH RESTAURANT IN MINNEAPOLIS IN 2013, AND HAVE BEEN COOKING, BAKING, AND SERVING TOGETHER EVER SINCE.
WITH A LOVE FOR SMALL BUSINESS AND HOSPITALITY, KELSEY EARNED A DEGREE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA - DULUTH, AND MOST ENJOYED OPENING, OPERATING, AND OWNING A BREWERY SO FAR IN HER CAREER. HER HOBBY OF BAKING HAS SPARKED HER FRONT-OF-HOUSE SPIRIT TO GO BACK-OF-HOUSE AS WELL, AND EXPERIENCE ALL FACETS OF THE RESTAURANT LIFE.
A SELF-PROCLAIMED 'FAT KID', RAISED BY GRANDMA'S LOVE FOR COMFORT FOOD, MARCUS DOVE DEEPER INTO HIS LOVE FOR ALL THINGS CULINARY BY MOVING THE MINNEAPOLIS AND EARNING A CULINARY DEGREE AT ART INSTITUTES. HE HAS BEEN A CHEF AROUND MINNEAPOLIS, IN WISCONSIN, AND IN ARIZONA, AND HAS ENJOYED WORKING WITH MANY DIFFERENT STYLES OF CUISINE, INCLUDING FRENCH, ITALIAN, FARM-TO-TABLE, AND PIZZA.

BORN IN THE SUMMER OF 2024, THE BIG YELLOW FOOD TRUCK WAS STEP ONE IN THE BRANDT'S QUEST TO CREATE A NEIGHBORHOOD EATERY.
OUR VICTORY NEIGHBORS IN NORTH MINNEAPOLIS CAME WITH AN ADVENTUROUS SPIRIT, SUPPORTED OUR 'ANTI-MARKETING' APPROACH TO OUR ADVERTISING WITH THE REWARD OF FRIENDLY SERVICE, FRESH & CREATIVE SANDWICHES, AND CHILL PARK VIBES.
WITH A MENU THAT CHANGED WEEKLY, THE BRANDTS FOUND A LOVE FOR THE CHALLENGE OF REINVENTING WHAT A SANDWICH EXPERIENCE IS INTO WHAT IT COULD BE.
FROM CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA MEATBALL SUBS TO THE SUMMER CLASSIC 'BODEGA BUDDY' CHOPPED CHEESEBURGER, THE MENU IS A REFLECTION OF THE BRANDT'S DESIRE TO CREATE THEIR OWN RULES, AND NEVER FOLLOW ANYONE ELSE'S.

THOSE WHO VISITED THE TRUCK THIS SUMMER KNOW THAT THE ULTIMATE GOAL IS TO BUILD A BRICK & MORTAR IN THEIR VICTORY NEIGHBORHOOD. WHILE DIVING INTO PRO FORMAS, BUSINESS PLANS, AND LOAN APPLICATIONS, THE BRANDTS ARE MAINTAINING THEIR SANITY CATERING A SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM FOR A LOCAL PRIVATE SCHOOL WHILE DEVELOPING A LARGER MENU FOR THE BRICK & MORTAR LOCATION.
SANDWICH CLUB CATERING IS ON THE HORIZON, WITH SANDWICH PLATTERS, YOUR FAVORITE POTATO SALAD, AND TRAYS OF COOKIES IN THE WORKS FOR SPECIAL EVENTS.
